The personal service provided to our clients is what is most appreciated and that high level of involvement is what allows our firm to be successful.
In many of today's "large or corporate law firms" after the client is "signed up" their claim or case is turned over to someone with very little experience or passion for representing the client's interests. Unfortunately, this type of reresentation typically leads to less than reasonable settlements or verdicts.
Our client's are never turned over to a paralegal, secretary or inexperienced attorney. Your matter is only handled by Derek W. Burge, Esq., and Robert L. Burge, Esq, from beginning to end.
Our representation is devoted to protecting our clients from the actions of insurance companies. We have the wherewithal to prosecute these matters against the insurance companies who seek to deny injured persons the return of what has been taken from them. Our expertise and experience is what is needed to regain what has been lost whether it was financial, physical or emotional.
Derek W. Burge, Esq., is a member with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He attended San Diego State University and obtained a degree in Criminal Justice. He received his Juris Doctorate from Ventura College of Law. He attended Hastings 30th Anniversary Trial Advocacy College. Derek has always practiced as an injured person's advocate and has always fought for the rights of his clients until justice was achieved.
Robert L. Burge, Esq., completed undergraduate studies at Colorado State University and obtained a degree in physical sciences (aka biochemistry) in 1961. After working in the field of biochemistry Robert studied law at San Fernando Valley College of Law (now La Verne) and received his Juris Doctorate in 1971. During the first eight years of his law career Robert worked in the area of insurance defense where he gained valuable insight into how and why insurance companies determine which matters to settle and which matters to deny. Since 1980 Robert's law practice has focused only on representing injured persons and their rights.
Our firm is here to help those who have been injured or have lost a family member as a result of some entity's or individual's wrongdoing, whether negligently or intentionally.
